As the Principal of Smt. Rewaben Manoharbhai Patel Mahila Kala Mahavidyalaya, Bhandara, it is both
my privilege and responsibility to strive towards fulfilling the institution’s vision of women’s
empowerment. Since assuming this role in September,2024, I have committed myself to working
diligently in advancing this educational endeavour to new heights. I firmly believe that through
unwavering dedication, we can significantly contribute to the holistic development of our students.
Established in 1995 with the noble goal of providing higher education to women in underprivileged areas, Smt. Rewaben Manoharbhai Patel Mahila Kala Mahavidyalaya stands as a pioneering institution in the Bhandara district. Under the aegis of the Gondia Education Society, the college has continually shaped policies and strategies that align with its mission. We owe a great debt of gratitude to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, whose pioneering efforts in the education of women have inspired generations. Their realisation that an educated woman is the foundation of an educated society underpins our institution’s philosophy.
We are passionate about nurturing critical thinking, fostering a scientific temperament, and cultivating respect for national values and women’s rights. Our dedicated faculty, committed to innovative pedagogy, aims to instil a sense of responsibility in students—balancing individual rights with civic duties. Through value-based education and global perspectives, we shape students into individuals of character and competitive spirit, equipped to navigate both personal and professional realms with confidence.
Our college has achieved notable success in shaping the academic, social, and competitive outlook of our students, thanks to a team of highly qualified faculty members and modern infrastructure. Regular guest lectures, seminars, workshops, and conferences are held to broaden the intellectual horizons of our students, sharpening their skills and enhancing their vision. Our ultimate goal is to create an academic environment where both faculty and students feel empowered to explore new ideas and conduct innovative research, free from the fear of failure.
With a sprawling campus that houses various departments, cutting-edge laboratories, and modern teaching tools, our institution is well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of education. Together, as a cohesive team, we are committed to realising the full potential of our resources, vision, and ambitions.
I am proud to share that our institution has been reaccredited with ‘B’ grade by NAAC, a testament to our continued pursuit of excellence. As the Gondia Education Society embarks on this transformative journey, we stand united in our pledge to effect meaningful change. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and we are resolute in our collective mission to make a lasting impact.
